My very first logo! I wanted to create a logo that reflected my pattern design style. I went for one of my favourite colour combination of orange and pink and drew these two abstract botanical motifs. The circular shape was an obvious choice for me, as I am always drawn to circles and do use them a lot in my designs. I opted for a clean and rounded sans serif font too (Quiet Sans).
I've always loved classic Japanese patterns, especially waves (more circles!), so decided to also create a couple of patterns to use as part of my visual identity.
As for my chosen trade name, "Célia dessine" is simply French for "Célia draws". I like how the French verb "dessiner" is similar to the English "design". In fact, they both originate from the Latin word "designare", which means "to mark out".
